Hiding the Mechanical Components
Under the counter: The pumps, manifolds, expansion tanks, and controllers aren’t always located in a separate utility room. Sometimes they are incorporated into the room’s design. This is possible because the components are silent, compact, require little maintenance after installation, and the plumbing configuration is reasonably flexible.
Everything but the heat source. Many customers are curious about how much space is taken up by the mechanical components. Of course, it depends on the size of the system, but as an example, this system contains a (2) zone manifold (supply and return side) with pumps, an Expansion and Purge Kit, a wall mounted slab manifold, a heat exchanger, and the zone control kit. Everything fits in a 4′ X 5′ area and is completely hidden from view behind a removable access panel.
