Working in Winter

A centralized slab manifold: People often think that slab manifolds need to sit in a corner of the room, and they often do. But, because tubing layouts are so extremely flexible, the manifold should go where it best serves the installation. In this application, the manifold will end up in the floor of the utility room that will be built over this space. Placing the manifold here will make running the supply and return lines to and from this zone an easy matter.

Let it snow: Looking at this photo, it’s hard to imagine how warm and comfortable this space will be a year from now. But, make no mistake, these homeowners will smile triumphantly at the long, frigid hours of hard work every time they walk barefooted across their warm floor.
